What To Bring:
Cairn Leadership School is located in a rural setting and we hold many of our trainings outside, away from the main lodge. Following, please find a list of a few things you may want to bring with you to help make your stay more comfortable:
- Water bottle. Although the activities are not strenuous, any time you’re outside for long periods of time you run the risk of dehydration. We encourage all participants to drink plenty of water.
- Bug spray to repel mosquitoes and ticks, we have both!
- Flashlight. There is little ambient light after sun set. Some people feel more comfortable if they have a flashlight available to them if they want to go outside at night.
- A camera, for the memories.
- Book bag or backpack to carry your stuff.
- Sturdy, comfortable, waterproof shoes. If you would like to wear sneakers please bring two pairs of shoes. Open-toed shoes are not recommended for course activities.
- Dress in layers. It can start out cool in the morning and then quickly warm up. It is easier to take off a sweatshirt or jacket then to change your outfit outdoors.
