Dan Pierce has a variety of experiences that have led him to team building and group development.  Dan, who spent eight years between the Army Reserves in Civil Affairs and in the Maine Army National Guard, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  Dan was also involved in the start-up of several group homes and the development of group home culture.  It was through these experiences that Dan saw the value of teamwork and team building.

Dan has worked with State agencies and private companies alike to help identify areas that would enhance a company’s performance.  The bulk of his work with those companies has been to enhance communication among front line staff and help management empower line staff in the decision making process resulting in the increase of their productivity. 

Dan’s vision in founding Cairn Leadership School was to provide a medium through which others can come to experience the adventure of the outdoors in an enjoyable and accessible way.
