There are two guiding philosophies of the Cairn Leadership School. Our guiding philosophies also allow your group to achieve its fullest potential and have empowerment of the individual as the foundation.
Our primary philosophy is to be client centered. This ideology stems from our collective experience in the field of social work but is easily applied to group building and leadership development. The crux of this philosophy is to help our clients to know themselves and their group best. At Cairn Leadership School we know how to initiate change—we listen to what your needs are and guide you through the process of increasing your team’s effectiveness. Incorporating the client centered philosophy ensures that teams of all levels are able to take advantage of the School’s experience.
Our second philosophy, challenge by choice, comes from experiential, or adventure education, and enables people to determine their own level of participation. People are more apt to open up in an environment they are comfortable in. At Cairn we pride ourselves on creating a safe and inclusive environment. Your team, in conjunction with our staff, is responsible for finding ways to include everyone while creating a supportive environment in which all teams members are able to thrive.
The Cairn philosophy help Cairn staff provide you and your team with the best possible experience.
